In March of 2007, after Bishop Moss passed, Evangelist Thomas-Parker moved her membership to Greater Grace International. Under the watch of Pastor Christopher C. Walker, leadership classes were given and Evangelist Thomas-Parker was presented an additional certificate of Evangelism. She served there for five years while preparing for Pastor-ship.

In April of 2008, Bishop B. Weaver ordained Evangelist Thomas-Parker and she became Pastor Vanessa Thomas under the Shield of Faith International Church in Franklin, North Carolina.

Pastor Vanessa Thomas is the proud mother of four children, Wardrickes Melvina, Pastor Timothy Parker II, Ariel L. Parker and Minister Timothy Sinclair Parker III. A graduate of East Atlanta High School where she graduated with honors, furthered her education by attending Spellman College, and later Cobb Beauty College.

With a warm and accepting spirit, Pastor Vanessa Thomas embraces all facets of people with love and a caring heart. It is with this same spirit that Just Before the Break of Day Prayer Ministry under the leadership of Pastor Vanessa Thomas offers prayer, love and salvation to the lost. In 2018 Pastor Thomas went under the covering of Apostle Jasper Rolle, Jr, who is the Presiding Prelate and Chief Apostle of Abundant Life Tabernacle Covenant Ministries in Bronx, NY. Pastor Thomas is still growing and developing as she operates in her purpose. Bringing light to dark places and deliverance to lost souls. On May 7th, 2022, Pastor Vanessa Thomas was affirmed Apostle Vanessa Thomas, under the Western Carolina Cosmopolitan Fellowship of Churches, Inc.; where Bishop C.E. Anderson Jr. is the founder and visionary. She was appointed Overseer over the Central Georgia  Region of churches within the fellowship.
